Could anyone please tell me what the scale means when doing up dolls houses?
I have just bought a wooden dolls house to do up and as i am new to this i am not sure what the scale size is all about…12th and 24th etc.
Could anyone please help?
Scale simply is a ratio (freshman high school math).
If something is twice live-sized, it is 2:1 scale.
If something is 1:2 scale it is half-size
SO, if the scale is 1:12th, that means that 1 foot of model is 12 feet to the DOLL, or 1 inch is 12 inches to the doll. And in 1:24th: 1 foot of dollhouse is 24 feet… a 1 ‘x 1ft room is 24′ x 24ft to the doll.
