The car’s no bargain, if it’s a dealer I’d bid £2k and hold out for a decent warranty. There are hundreds of old Clios about, if he won’t play ball walk away.
A cambelt on a Clio should be about £200 fitted at a decent back street garage, double that at a Renault dealer.
