Renault Scenic problems ?
My 54 reg Scenic 1.5 DCI has just failed its’ MOT ( 34,500 miles) due to ‘ offside front, front suspension joint has excessive play in a lower suspension ball joint ‘. It has been deemed dangerous to drive, and I have a courtesy car to use. Apart from a little squeaking in the brakes, have I missed something ????? I am shell shocked that I have been driving my kids around in this ….. Has anyone had this problem, and is it normal for a car of less than 4 yrs, with such low mileage to have this ?????

This is a little unusual for the scenic but not unknown . the main cause is “kerbing ” the front wheels this can knock out the ball joints .
